Recently married and need to update your name on your U.S. passport? Our office can assist with preparing the name change application paperwork and making sure you have the documents needed to submit your application.

If you legally changed your name, the process to change your name on your U.S. passport is determined by when your last passport was issued and when your name was legally changed. For example, if it has been less than one year since both your last passport was issued and your name was legally changed, you can most likely apply by mail.

You can find the step-by-step process for your specific situation at travel.state.gov/namechange

Clerk vs. Judge: Know the difference. The Clerk’s Office maintains court records, processes filings, and collects certain court-related fees, while judges make the judicial decisions in court cases.

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services said it best in their post below. September 11th is a day Americans will never forget—a day that reminds us of the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the courage shown by so many.

Chief Matthew Richter did an incredible job today as our keynote speaker, helping us remember and honor the significance of this day.

Never forget. 🇺🇸
