It’s our Favorite People’s day!

Today we celebrate National Volunteer Firefighters Day!

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do.

You’re everyday heroes who proudly serve at a moment’s notice—through blazes and medical emergencies, storms and still nights.

Did you know? Approximately 65% of all firefighters in the United States are volunteers—nearly 677,000 individuals.

These men and women give thousands of hours every year, not only answering emergency calls but also training, fundraising, maintaining equipment, and serving the community in countless unseen ways.

These brave volunteers are your local fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, siblings, friends, ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

This isn’t an easy job but it is a rewarding job. These brave men and women sacrifice their own time to help you on your worst day.

To anyone looking for a way to give back—we encourage you to consider volunteering.

It’s more than service; it’s a family, a purpose, and a chance to truly make a difference in your community.

Today is National Non-Profit Day!

Did you know that we at the Canton Fire Auxiliary are a nonprofit organization that relies solely on the donations from our community?

Who are we?

-the Canton Fire Auxiliary is a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to helping our community and firefighters.

Our mission: to aid our firefighters when on emergency calls, provide items and help those who have been impacted by fire and/or tragedy, and to provide our community with varied events.

-all members of the Auxiliary are family members or friends of Canton Firefighters or community members who want to aid in that mission.

What do we do?

-we help when the fire department is called to an emergency such as a house fire. When there is a fire we bring relief items such as water, food and anything the firefighters may need. We provide on scene support for them while they do the hard work. We also help provide support by those affected from this tragedy. We have clothing, hygiene items and resources to help those impacted. We are there to help support both victim and firefighters.

-We support our firefighters and department in a variety of ways from purchasing tools, emergency equipment and items to help them stay safe while on calls or items they may need. We also provide meals to firefighters during various trainings, events and more.

-we host a variety of fundraisers and events for our community. Our personal favorites are our yearly Quarter Madness event, Color Run and Grinch Day.

Behind every firefighter is a team of people ensuring they have what they need to do their jobs safely. The Canton Fire Auxiliary makes sure our first responders and community are cared for—because protecting lives takes all of us working together. While we might be two separate entities both, R-V Fire Department and us work closely together to ensure our community is safe, protected and those who need help have the resources they might need.

We are here to help those, help others.
