THEY HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!!

The 1st two of the four new ambulances we have on order have arrived and placed in service today. The Lifeline ambulances, purchased through Pfund Equipment were ordered more than 2 years ago at a cost of $305,000 each.

These new units are replacing ambulances that we have had in service for 24 years. The two additional units on order have an expected delivery date of Spring 2027.

The purchase of these new ambulances would not be possible without the continued support of our community. Thank you! We look forward to these units serving you for many years!

As we recognize EMS week to all of our first responders, crews from the Canton Township Fire Department were awarded recognition from Aultman Hospital at today’s EMS breakfast for a multi-patient trauma call from December 2025. Their lifesaving skills and efforts resulted in the survival of both patients. We are thankful to this group and all of our CTFD family for their day to day care for the Canton Township community and beyond!!

With this being "National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week", We would like to recognize and thank all of our Telecommunication Specialists/Dispatchers @ The Stark County Dispatch Center (Starcom) for their diligence and efforts everyday! Most don't understand or think about how emergencies begin to be mitigated. It starts with these professionals behind the scenes that get us moving in the right direction and provide us with pertinent information & assistance. We truly have THE BEST BUNCH OF TELECOMMUNICATORS OUT THERE!!!

Annual Spring Burn Ban Now in Effect

The annual State of Ohio Spring open burning ban has begun. The burning ban is for the months of March-May between the hours of 6am to 6pm.

While the ground may be damp, or even saturated, overgrowth and brush is still dead and allows for fire to spread rapidly. In addition, Springtime winds make it difficult to get these fire under control.

Be safe…and legal. Follow burn ban restrictions to avoid property damage as well as enforcement action by the ODNR Division of Forestry.

Following our recent encounter with Old Man Winter, our crews are out today digging out hydrants that have been buried by drifts a plow banks. This is a strenuous but vital task for the crews to ensure that a potentally needed fire hydrant is accessible.

To our residents and business owners; if you have a hydrant on your property that may have gotten plowed under or blocked, we ask that you assist our crews by digging a 3’ opening/path around it. This will save our crews a great deal of time with this project.
