The Youth Bureau

The Youth Bureau The St. Lawrence County Youth Bureau is a department that employs and helps 24,000 youth. YCC stands for Youth Conservation Corps. Lawrence County.

It uses 1/4th of 1% of the county budget, and yet is slighted to be cut next year. The Youth Bureau receives money from the state to fund 55 programs involving youth. Every recreation program receives money from this department as well as YCC. It is a summer program that employs adolescents ages 14-21 to do hands-on work to conserve the environment of St. Corps members divided into crews in Potsda

m, Canton, Massena, and Ogdensburg. The Youth Bureau is made up of a small, but spectacular staff that is truely passionate about helping the youth in St. Because the budget has been cut back already The Youth Bureau Director, Joanne Sevick, has put in countless hours of funding and asking for donations to keep the programs under the Youth Bureau running. Lawrence County Youth Bureau has been helping teens for 35 years. With the support of the public we can show how important the department is to the county.
