Did you know St. Lawrence county's Master Gardener Volunteer program is part of a national effort? Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program estimate at least 76,292 volunteers throughout the United States and Washington, D.C, contributing 5.1 million hours ANNUALLY helping people use gardening to grow food, improve their physical and mental health, and address environmental issues. Conservatively, these efforts are estimated to have contributed $647.8 million dollars in value to the public over the past 4 years. We are proud and grateful to have close to 30 active MGV supporting St. Lawrence County's gardeners, from leading classes and answering one-on-one questions, to writing articles and updating our online resources.
