In February all of our k-4 students collaborated to create fleece blankets. Today our 4th grade students presented them to Julie Toney. The blankets will be distributed to families serviced at The Fulton Mason Crisis Center. We hope that the recipients feel the love that was put into creating them. We are grateful for this opportunity to give back to our community!

Tonight, the CUSD66 Board of Education had the honor of recognizing several outstanding student athletes for their incredible accomplishments! πŸŽ‰

We proudly celebrated our IHSA and IESA Wrestling State Qualifiers, whose hard work and determination earned them a place among the best in the state.

The Board also recognized our Special Olympics Basketball State Qualifiers, whose teamwork and dedication continue to inspire our entire school community.

Due to inclement weather, school is canceled for today, Monday, March 16. High winds and blowing snow have created whiteout conditions on rural and out-of-town roads, making travel unsafe for our buses, staff, and families. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Please stay safe and take care during the storm.

Today during our monthly STAR assembly we celebrated our kindergarten teacher, Ms. Nicole Cain. She recently received her National Board Certification, which is quite an accomplishment. Only 3% of teachers receive this Certification. It is acquired by passing an exam, passing a portfolio, which includes lessons, reflections, videos, and photos documenting teaching practices. It is the ultimate Gold Star of teaching! We are so proud of you Ms. Cain. Congratulations!
