SUNY Canton Learning Commons The Learning Commons includes Southworth Library and the Betty J. Evans Tutoring Center.

Collectively, we are committed to providing the campus community with access to resources that support academic inquiry and success. Learning Commons resources include textbook loans, faculty reserves, Anatomy & Physiology models, printed and digital handouts and worksheets, laptop and tablet loans, audiobooks and eBooks, access to a variety of research databases, and access to free software, such

as Office 365 and Grammarly. The facility also features a Silent Zone, many individual study nooks, several group study spaces, and access to Wi-Fi, printers, and scanners.

Starting today the Learning Commons hours will be changing for the Summer. The hours will be as follows:

Monday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed

April 29 we will open at 7:30am and we will be open 24 hours a day until 2:00 AM May 7th

The hours will be as follows:
April 29: Open at 7:30 AM
April 29 – May 6: Open 24/7
Closes at 2:00 AM May 7th
May 7: 7:30 AM- 2:00 AM
May 8: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
May 9–10: Closed

It's the Friday before Spring Break; the Learning Commons will be closing at 5pm today March 6th. The Learning Commons will be as follows:

Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th closed.
Monday, March 9th through Friday, March 13th open from 8:00am to 4:00pm
Saturday, March 14th closed
Sunday, March 15th 12:00pm-2:00am

All three tutoring labs are available by appointment only for the duration of Spring Break.
