Membership is open to active, retired, and reserve peace officers, as well as employees of law enforcement agencies located within Van Zandt County, including dispatchers, jailers, administrative assistants, and other agency employees.

Honorary or Associate Membership may also be available to supportive community members as determined by the Board of Directors.

Deputies with the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office will increase its traffic enforcement efforts targeting speeders for .

The operation starts Saturday July 18, 2026, through August 3, 2026. Deputies will be visible and looking for speeding vehicles, as well as aggressive drivers throughout the County as well as Interstate 20, State Highway 64, and Farm to Market 859.

This enforcement will also help reduce the risk of fatal crashes due to high speeds. Reminder if you see flashing lights on the side of the road. It is state law to move over to the next lane or slow down 20mph below the posted speed limit. This includes Emergency Vehicles, TxDOT, and Wrecker Drivers.

We want to ensure every Texan is safe on the roadways.
