Project REBUILD Inc.

Project REBUILD Inc. Building skills. Building leaders. Building brighter futures by empowering Stark County residents with education, career pathways, and leadership development.

Founded in 1999 by Carolyn Hess, Project REBUILD continues to serve young people in Stark County more than twenty years later with the same program components of education, work readiness training, leadership development, youth development, and providing service to our community. We also offer our members hands-on construction training, safety training, post-secondary exploration, post-program apprenticeships options, substance use support, financial literacy, life skills lessons, and health and wellness programming. Our comprehensive nine-month program focuses on positively impacting all aspects of a young person's life. We understand that creating a trust relationship is one of the key steps to our success and theirs. That relationship is what will allow a young person to step out of their comfort zone, try new things, and push themselves beyond their limits. Our organization operates YouthBuild Greater Stark County, our young people may be enrolled as YouthBuild AmeriCorps members, and we provide services for young people enrolled in WIOA's CCMEP (Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program). We partner with local high schools in the area to provide the best options and pathways for young people to achieve success.

Another week of learning, growing, and putting in the work at Project REBUILD!

This week, our young people continued building skills through hands-on training, education, community work, and opportunities to connect with local employers and partners.

We’re proud of the progress being made and grateful to everyone who continues to support our young people along the way.

Here’s to another week of REBUILDing futures!

We may not have taken home the win this year, but honestly, it’s pretty cool being in the top three. ❤️

It’s pretty special to know that people are watching what we’re doing at Project REBUILD, supporting our work, and thinking we’re worthy of being recognized.

We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to nominate and vote for us. It means more than you know.

And congratulations to on the win this year! Well deserved. 👏

We’ll keep doing what we do — building skills, building lives, and building community. 💙

Today, Project REBUILD came together for our annual 9/11 Day of Service cleanup, giving back by helping clean up and care for our neighborhood in Canton. It was a meaningful opportunity to honor the spirit of service and remember the importance of coming together as a community.

A special thank you to Canton City Public Health and Canton Police Department (Ohio) for their partnership and support. We appreciate everything you do for our community and are grateful to have you alongside us!

🌦️ We’re not quite sure what the weather is going to do tomorrow, but one thing we do know: we’ll be there!

Rain or shine, we’d love to spend some time with everyone who’s planning to join us for our Annual 9/11 Day of Service Cleanup. ❤️

Come ready for a little community, a little service, and hopefully a little sunshine! See you tomorrow!

This morning, we spent time with others at the McKinley Monument to pause, remember, and honor.

It was a moving reminder of the lives lost on 9/11, the families and first responders forever changed, and the countless people whose lives would never be the same.

We remember. We honor. 🇺🇸

Starting this morning where we believe we should be — at the 9/11 Memorial Climb, standing in remembrance as others climb to honor those who gave their lives.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Hands-on experience turns skills into opportunities.

Our young people recently put their construction skills to work by installing LVT flooring for one of our community partners. From measuring and preparing the space to laying the flooring, they’re gaining practical experience they can carry with them into the workforce.

We’re proud to see their skills continue to grow!

Another Penn Foster milestone for Ty’Shawn! 📚

He recently earned his Fitness and Nutrition credit, continuing to make progress toward his education goals.

We’re proud of the work Ty’Shawn is putting in and excited to see what he accomplishes next!

Every new experience is an opportunity to build confidence and develop new skills.

For , we're looking back five years to when we tried disc golf for the first time!

There were plenty of missed throws, lots of laughs, and a few hidden talents that quickly emerged. More importantly, it was a reminder that growth happens when we're willing to step outside our comfort zones and give something new a try.

At Project REBUILD, we believe that whether it's learning a new sport, exploring a career pathway, or engaging with our community, every new experience has the potential to teach us something valuable!
