My apologies to McKinley Downtown, BVA 9 - 12, Gibbs, Schreiber, Arts, AIM, Patrick, Fairmount, Cedar, Compton, Portage Montessori and McGregor for not being able to visit your buildings in person. I will do my best to get some info out to you another way.

Apparently only CPEA President and Vice President are allowed to campaign during the contractual day. I assumed that by taking a personal day and visiting buildings in person and introducing myself would be fine. However, that is not the case. My visits caused such a disturbance that I was told to stop going to buildings. If I met you today and upset you, I apologize. My purpose was to get out and meet some members that I didn’t know and gain some support. I do not apologize for what I said. If that is what upset you, then that is on you. I was asked questions during some meetings and answered them honestly. Paul can not advocate for us when he is not in the classroom day in and day out. He nor Lynn have visited buildings with any consistency. If this is bashing, as I have been accused, I am guilty. Not sure how my campaign will progress from here. With the resistance I am experiencing, I feel that I must doing something to upset the status quo.

Wow. I never imagined that I would get so much support. Thank you to everyone that is recommending or sharing the Vote for Shu in 22 page. I knew from the beginning that I would have an uphill battle to replace Paul. Especially since he has finally decided to start visiting buildings and was able to put the finishing touches on PACE that has been nonexistent for quite a while . I am very encouraged by the views and will out to visit buildings tomorrow, on my own time.

I have heard from a few people that this is first time in a while that our president has visited buildings. We constantly hear how he sees the frustration on our faces, but hasn’t actually seen our faces.
