This is a reminder to be careful not to click on links in emails if you aren't expecting the email.

There is currently a phishing scam going around town (and the state) with fake "e-vites". They are being sent out from hacked email addresses, so the email is genuinely from someone you know, but it is not actually them sending it.

If you get an email like that, just report it as phishing and/or mark as spam depending on what your email system allows.

The Town Clerk’s office will be open on Monday, September 7th, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to accept absentee ballots or to issue absentee ballots for the September 8th primary. All other Town Offices will be closed for Labor Day.

The election on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 will be held at the Canterbury Elementary School (15 Baptist Road) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Town Offices will be closed for the election since all staff will be working the election.

You will be able to register to vote on the day of the Primary at the polling place. To check your voter registration status, go to 'View My Voter Information' at: https://app.sos.nh.gov/viphome

🚧⛔️ Baptist Hill Road from Hackleboro Road to Briar Bush Road will be closed from 9 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026. This is so the Highway Department can replace a culvert. 🦺🚜

The Riverland Conservation Area main entrance and parking lot will be closed from 5 pm on Sunday July19th through 7am on Tuesday July 21st for mowing on Monday the 20th. (Just to make sure no one is in the parking lot when we lock up.)
