Good morning!

We are officially through our fall 2026 five week menu cycle 🎉 yes, we’ve been in school five weeks already 😱

Some of our new menu items include pork carnitas nachos, chicken lo mein, Denver mac & cheese, southern crunchers bowls, and general tso’s chicken.

Looking for students and parents for our Local Food Program Advisory Board! 📢

This will be a group of about 8-12 students, parents, staff, and community members to give input into our Local Food Grant. We will meet quarterly starting September 24th at 5:00 PM. Dinner included along with local food baskets, shirts, and other swag!

Food Recalls 🚨⚠️

This is something we take very seriously in our department. We get updates from the USDA on any food recalls AND our food distributor Shamrock also lets us know immediately if any of the products we have purchased have been recalled.

NONE of the food we have served has been involved in any food recalls.

Also mentioned is our ground beef! We get our hamburger patties through Tyson. They are 100% ground beef from American ranches. We also have purchased patties with Scanga and Rancho Largo in Fowler, Colorado. 🍔

This week's menu for grades K-8...
Monday - Bosco Cheese Sticks
Tuesday - Beef tacos with refried beans and corn 🌮
Wednesday - Chicken Fried Rice (whole grain rice with peas, carrots, corn and chicken) with an egg roll 🍚
Thursday - Denver Mac N' Cheese (whole grain macaroni and cheese with diced ham) with a side of green peppers 🧀
Friday - No school!

🤔 Does your child’s account now show a balance in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal under Food Service?

Don’t worry — that balance does NOT mean you owe money! 🎉

Because of the transition from PaySchoolsCentral to Infinite Campus, any money that was previously sitting in your child’s meal account has transferred over.

💰 If you see a balance, that means you have money on your child’s account — not a bill you need to pay. And, of course, school meals are free! 🙌

Some of these balances may be money that was added to your child’s account years ago but was never used.

We are hoping to roll out A La Carte purchasing at CCHS in the future, allowing students to use these funds for items such as drinks, snacks, and other available options. So, you may want to leave the money on the account for your student to use when this becomes available.

Want a refund instead? No problem! Simply email us at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to help.

Did you know you can now add money into your child's account in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal for milk if your student isn't getting a full meal?

You can simply login to your parent portal. Select the Food Service tool, add money per instructions, and submit!

Since the department doesn't get reimbursed unless your student gets a full meal, milk is just $0.60 to purchase.

You can also add money in their account for any guest meals, like when you come eat with them! It's $3 for breakfast and $5 for lunch. Can't beat that price anywhere!

MENU update!

CES will have Salisbury steak today and chicken nuggets tomorrow due to staffing.

All other K8 students will have chicken nuggets and pasta salad today.

Tomorrow will be a NEW menu item! Homemade chicken lo mein 🥳

We just had to show off some of our local produce we are getting out into schools this week. Plus you get a little sneak peek into our warehouse operations. (Pardon the clunky refrigerator tour).
