Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect with gratitude on those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

From all of us at Canon City Schools, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward. ❤️🤍💙

Dell and came to McKinley Elementary School to build and give bikes and helmets to our 2nd graders. Volunteers came with willing hearts and hands to assemble a new bike for each 2nd grader and spend time fitting our kids with helmets, adjusting their seats, and spending some time with them. Look at these happy kids!

Wish for Wheels partners with corporations and community organizations to give the gift of a brand new bike and helmet to second graders. By encouraging healthy habits at a young age, they foster independence and freedom, increase confidence, and create a lifelong love of bikes for students in underserved communities.
