Construction Update (September 11, 2026)
The City’s contractor, Arrowhead Excavation and Landscape, are going to close the 300 Block Alley north of Main Street beginning Monday, September 14th for approximately two weeks while paving and concrete replacement occurs. Paving of 315 Main Street will be on Monday (9/14) and Tuesday (9/15), which will limit traffic between 3rd to 4th Streets, but the ends of the alley will remain open.
Following the paving, the alley access from 3rd Street will close as the contractor is replacing curb & gutter, alley approach, and a few alley panels. Parking on Main Street and at the 316 Macon Avenue lot are to remain open to the public. The City’s contractor will also work with local trash disposal companies to ensure pickup is still occurring.
