The **2026–2027 Purple Star School certification process is now open!** New Mexico schools are invited to apply now through **September 28, 2026**.

The Purple Star Schools program recognizes schools committed to supporting military-connected students and families. Whether your school currently serves military-connected students or not, there’s an application pathway for you.

🌟 **Key dates to know:**
📅 Applications open: **August 1–September 28**
💻 Technical assistance office hours: **August 18 at 10 a.m.**
📅 Additional application opportunity: **December** for schools that do not meet certification requirements during the initial application period

This position offers a 183-day work calendar, regular 8-hour workdays, summers and holidays off, competitive pay, and great benefits.

Starting salaries:
• Physical Therapist (Master’s/DPT): $78,992–$86,205, based on experience
• PTA (Bachelor’s): $67,804–$71,482, based on experience
• PTA (Associate’s): Starting at $57,647
