When school is in session, do your part to keep kids safe. Under Ohio law, drivers must stop when a school bus is dropping off or picking up students. School bus drivers who see someone run the stop sign will report the vehicle's license plate number and incident location to Canfield Police, which could lead to charges.

for school buses! Stay alert and know when to stop: On a two or three lane road - drivers on BOTH SIDES of the road must stop when a bus is dropping off or picking up students. On roads with four or more lanes - drivers traveling the opposite direction of the bus DO NOT have to stop.
