The Hominy Creek Comfort Makers will be back at the Enka-Candler Library on Thursday, September 17th from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM!

The Comfort Makers aim to provide comfort to anyone who is struggling. If you can sew, crochet, knit, or stuff a pillow, you can help to add a bit of comfort to those in trying times.

All skill levels are welcome, and no registration is necessary.

If you want to help those in need, but can’t make it during that time, we have ready-to-make kits available that you can complete on your own time and return to the library. Available kits include quilts, multiple types of pillows, and more!

Preschool Story Time is canceled today, Tuesday September 1st.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our Children’s Room is still open and has a ton of great books, toys and a light table, so there is plenty of fun to still be had!

9/16: Waiting Game by Nicola Clark

11/18: Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
12/16: Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard

History Book Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 2:30-3:30, they alternate between historical fiction and non-fiction.

For all book club books, we get a variety of standard print, large print, and audio copies. We have them ready for pickup for all different preferences and abilities 3-4 weeks before the book club.

If you’re interested in joining, no registration is necessary, just stop in and be ready to discuss!

Thanks to the Friends of the Enka-Candler Library and Sand Hill Flower Stand for supplying the bouquets. The Dahlias came from the garden of one of our very own librarians!

On the first Saturday of every month, Ms. Kate holds an interactive music and movement focused story time at the Ferguson Family YMCA!

Sing, dance and read at our next Bouncing Books story time on Saturday, September 5th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM!

No registration or membership to the YMCA is necessary. Everyone is welcome.

This is a family friendly program for ages up to 10 years old.

If you want to build and display your very own LEGO set, just stop by the library on Thursday, September 3rd from 4-5:30 PM.

LEGO Club is on the first Thursday of every month, no registration is necessary. Building materials are provided.
