Roy Houck Construction, LLC will begin paving for the 2026 Street Maintenance Project. Paving is scheduled to begin Monday, September 14th, with daily schedule listed below.

The project includes an asphalt concrete overlay and striping on N Ivy Street from Territorial Road to 4th Avenue. Additional pavement reconditioning will occur on NE 4th Avenue between N Ivy Street and N Holly Street, along with similar treatment on NE 19th Loop. The project also includes reconstruction of ADA ramps to bring existing pedestrian crossings into compliance with current ADA standards.

Today members of the Canby community gathered to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. Together, we gathered to remember and honor our heroes from the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001.

A special thank you to guest speakers and presenters Captain Murphy, Chaplain Connie Colbaugh, Mayor Hodson, Senator Drazan, Colonel (Ret) Pete Wood, Citizen Jeanne Horne, NYFD Firefight & First Responder Frank Gaide, Chief Dale, Superintendent Jennifer Patterson, and Police Chief Jose Gonzalez. Thank you to the Canby American Legion and St. Patrick's Knights of Columbus for the presentation of colors; Canby Police Officer Kyle Boyd for singing the National Anthem, and Ian Peck for his rendition of Taps.

Thank you to the City of Canby, Canby Police Department, Canby Fire District, and Canby School District for coordinating this event. We remember, today and always.

Join the City of Canby, Canby Police Department, Canby Fire District, and the Canby School District at the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Ceremony at 8:00a on Friday, September 11th. The ceremony will be held at the Canby Police Department (1175 NW 3rd Avenue). The City of Canby will be closed from 8:00a - 10:00a to allow our staff to attend the ceremony.

They have removed blackberries from disc golf tees like the one pictured. Thank you for all of your hard work - the City of Canby is lucky to have great volunteers who help bring the best out of our parks system!
