Canby Police Department Seeks Public Assistance in Identifying Hit & Run Suspect:

On August 19, 2026, the Canby Police Department responded to a report of a Hit and Run Crash near the intersection of NE 10th Ave & N Maple Ln.

The suspect vehicle can be seen leaving the fairgrounds property around 9:11 PM and turning onto NE 10th Ave. The suspect vehicle appears to be a White in color Dodge 2500/3500 dual rear wheel (Dually) pickup truck (or similar) with a light bar above the front windshield pulling a white and silver gooseneck style livestock trailer with a large “FREEDOM” decal displayed. The truck and trailer fled the scene of the crash prior to law enforcement response.

🐾 FOUND DOGS - German Shepherds 🐾

🚨UPDATE: They have been reunited with their owner!

Anybody recognize these two? Canby PD Officers located these two adult German Shepherds running in traffic in the area of S Ivy St and HWY 99E. They have both been checked for microchips, but we have been unable to track down the owners.

On Wednesday, August 5th, the Canby City Council passed Ordinance 1675 regarding regulations on Electric Assisted Bicycles, Motor Assisted Scooter or E-Scooters, Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices, and Vehicles Manufactured for Off-Road Use. This Ordinance went into effect on August 6th.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Steven Quesada and the rest of the graduates of Oregon DPSST Basic Police Class #463! Officer Quesada was also awarded the Outstanding Defensive Tactics Award for his class. He will now return to Canby to begin field training with Canby PD.
