🎒 DAY 1 | BACK-TO-SCHOOL DROP-OFFS

We’re kicking off our Back-to-School Community Donation Drive drop-offs! ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of our members, team members and neighbors, 32 new backpacks collected at GPO are heading to students across Madison County through our partnership with Community Action Partnership for Madison County.

A big thank-you to CAP, our local schools and educators, and everyone who donated or helped spread the word. Together, we’re helping local students start the school year ready to learn! 📚✏️

This young man, Liam, wants to get out, learn new things and to be challenged. Liam has struggled with school both academically and with attendance, relating to his friends and peers, and has anxiety. He's working on his self-image, relationships and connections around him. Maybe you could be the person to help him navigate the day-to-day challenges of being a teen.

The 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 addresses health issues facing families prenatally, postnatally, infants, and their families in Madison County by sharing the same health messages and connecting patients and clients to needed community resources. Led by Madison County Public Health, health and human service providers work together to support the best possible outcomes for growing families.

The network recently hosted 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with free activities, giveaways, and lactation support. This annual event brings the community together to support, empower, and celebrate breastfeeding families.

Network members have also planned 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁, a new group for moms, motherly figures, and women who support moms. To join the list to receive Moms Connect monthly topics and happenings, please complete this simple form: https://forms.gle/BTp348dviyLrs4nH6.

Calling all Madison County moms, mother figures and women who support them! 💚

BRiDGES / MCCASA and Community Action Partnership for Madison County are teaming up to launch Madison County Moms Connect on Wednesday, September 2. This new group will offer a welcoming place for moms to connect, learn and grow together through monthly topics and guest presenters.

Registration does not commit you to attending. It simply keeps you updated on upcoming topics, presenters, special promotions and goodies, including homemade baked goods at the first gathering!
