Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the Blue Mass hosted by St. Benedict Parish at St. Mary’s Church.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Michael Costik and Director of Communications Amy Corron for their dedication in making this meaningful service so special in honor of our local first responders.

The Blue Mass recognizes and prays for all those who serve and protect the health and safety of our communities, while also remembering the first responders who have recently passed, both in the line of duty and beyond.

Today, communities throughout Ontario County gathered for Memorial Day parades, ceremonies, and events honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Members of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office were proud to participate in several observances across the county throughout the day in remembrance of our fallen heroes and in support of the families and communities who continue to honor their sacrifice.

Sheriff David Cirencione delivered remarks following the Memorial Day parade in the Village of Bloomfield , reflecting on the importance of remembrance, service, and the strong sense of community found in small towns across our county.

“Because as long as we continue to remember them, their sacrifice is never lost.”

Today — and every day — we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

K9 C**t wants to remind everyone to stay safe on the water this boating season! 🚤🐾

New last year in NYS, all operators of motorized vessels are required to have a boater's license. Before launching, always make sure your boat has the proper safety equipment onboard, including:
• A properly fitted flotation device for each person
• A throwable flotation device
• Distress signals
• Fire extinguishers
• Sound-producing devices
• An anchor and line

A quick safety check before heading out can help prevent emergencies and keep everyone safe while enjoying the water this summer. View the New York State Parks Safe Boating Guidelines here:
