Thank you to these volunteers who have given so much back to their community! We look forward to hosting this service every year, and are grateful to all those that give their time to provide it.

Today marked the final day for our AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers! The group has processed roughly 400 returns over the last two months 🤯 This is such a great service to our community and we can't thank the volunteers enough!

As a reminder, Tax Day is coming up on April 15. All Canal Wi******er residents and tax payers are required to file an annual tax return with R.I.T.A. even if no tax is due. Online filing and printable forms are available on the R.I.T.A. website ➡️ https://www.ritaohio.com/

AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will offer free tax preparation services to senior citizens at the Canal Wi******er Community Center (45 E. Waterloo) beginning Thursday, February 5, 2026. Appointments are required and will be available between 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Thursdays through April 9.

For 2026, volunteers will offer priority appointment scheduling via email starting January 13. Appointment requests by email will offer the largest selection of dates and times available. To schedule an appointment, email [email protected] on or after January 13. Include your name, phone number, at least two times you are available for an appointment, and if you prefer mornings or afternoons. Starting January 22, appointments can be scheduled via phone by calling 614-375-2167. Appointments cannot be made by calling or visiting the Community Center.
