I wanted my husband to see a real dahlia farm! So he knows exactly what direction we are heading! I love the questions he asked me. I didn’t have the answer to some though. Where do they keep their dahlia tubers in the winter? Where do the process their tubers? How do they dig all this? He noted their set up—twine ankle, knee, and hip height, the wood mulch, the dripline, the mechanics of it, I love the ideas our visit invoked upon my husband. He had more questions than I did. Unfortunately we didn’t meet the owner of Petals In Bloom. Coming home I had a deeper appreciation for my dahlias, what they mean to me, and the different varieties that I grow. I am glad for the amount of people we seen come from all over the place. Good business day for a dahlia festival. Great time!

I love creating floral design. It’s one of my favorite things. I created this for a customer to be delivered locally.
