🚨 Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection Results 🚨

During a recent traffic stop, a commercial motor vehicle was inspected. As a result of the inspection, a total of 14 significant safety violations were identified. Due to the severity of these violations, the trailer was placed out of service and removed from the roadway. The operator was issued a misdemeanor summons for court in violation for the more severe violations.

Among the most concerning findings was that the load was not properly secured. Improperly secured loads pose a serious danger to everyone on the road. Shifting cargo can affect a driver’s ability to control the vehicle, increasing the risk of rollovers, jackknifes, or loss of control. Even more alarming, unsecured or falling debris can strike other vehicles, leading to crashes, injuries, or worse.

Commercial motor vehicle regulations are in place to ensure the safety of not only the operator, but also the motoring public. When these standards are not followed, the consequences can be severe.

Inspections and enforcement efforts will continue to ensure that all commercial vehicles operating on our roadways are in compliance with state and federal safety standards.

🚔 Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
