Planning & Zoning Coordinator – Town of Campton

The Town of Campton is seeking a full time Planning & Zoning Coordinator to provide administrative and technical support to the Town Administrator, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Adjustment. This position performs a wide range of planning, zoning, and office functions essential to the daily operations of the municipality.

Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the public with planning and zoning information, applications, procedures, and board processes.
• Preparing public notices, certified mailings, decision letters, and taking minutes at Planning and Zoning Board meetings.
• Maintaining files, records, maps, applications, and related documents; recording documents with the Grafton County Registry of Deeds.
• Organizing meetings and public hearings and staying informed of legislative updates affecting planning and zoning.
• Researching subdivisions, variances, site plans, and special exceptions; responding to inquiries from residents, contractors, and organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Three to five years of office experience, preferably in municipal government, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of municipal policies, ordinances, and state regulations; strong clerical and minute taking skills; proficiency with office software and GIS/ArcGIS is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality, and communicate professionally with residents, officials, and staff.

This is a full time, non exempt position, salary range $24.23 to $36.47 hr., with a competitive benefits package.

Public Meeting Notice

The Campton Board of Selectmen will meet with representatives from the Community Power Coalition of NH on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building Conference Room. CPCNH will share a report on the status of Campton Community Power, electricity rate factors, and other key priorities.

HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

The Town of Campton is accepting applications for the position of Highway Laborer/Driver. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. If you are hardworking, have a positive attitude and are willing to learn and work with others, you may be the person for our Highway team. Candidates are required to have a valid driver’s license with CDL-B endorsements, or the ability to attain one within a year. This position performs duties in all areas of construction and other assigned projects to include summer and winter maintenance of roads. Duties include, but are not limited to, operating heavy machinery and vehicles, maintenance of equipment and vehicles, plowing roads in the winter, and other road maintenance during other seasons. This is a year-round, full-time position approximately 40 hours per week.
This position has a competitive wage and benefit package including, vacation days, sick leave, personal days, administrative days, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, group disability and life insurance, and retirement through NH Retirement System.
