Good Afternoon Heartland. After morning storms that produced an amazing shelf cloud, thanks for all the photos, we are monitoring an outflow boundary left from morning storms. Storms will like explode along and south of this boundary during the afternoon hours. At this time it appears the storms will miss most of the Heartland. There is a chance a few could clip our southwestern counties but areas north of the boundary are capped, meaning the severe weather threat is low.

Again. Please follow Joi Alon for the latest. Just took a look at radar and storms are severe. Expect 60mph winds across southeast Missouri. Instability gradient is strong enough for storms to continue SE into the Bootheel.
