One of the things that makes Campbell such a special place is the strong partnership between our Police Department and the community. This partnership has allowed us to thoughtfully invest in technology that helps our team better serve the community.
Since 2024, we have continued building and expanding our Real-Time Intelligence Center (INFORM), which brings together technology such as our Drone as First Responder (DFR) program, public safety camera system, and other tools to help our officers respond more quickly and safely to calls, access critical information, and investigate crimes more efficiently.
Currently, these technologies are helping officers prevent, investigate, and solve a wide range of crimes in Campbell, from organized retail theft and stolen vehicles to domestic violence, violent assaults, and homicides. For our officers, this means better situational awareness and more precise responses. For our community, it means stronger investigations and more opportunities to solve crimes.
This year alone, our DFR pilots have responded to more than 🚔 300 calls for service, reducing response times to approximately ⏱️ one minute for those incidents.
Here in Campbell, technology will never replace the judgment, professionalism, or compassion of our officers. It simply gives them better information when every second matters. We aim to continue sharing recent cases that demonstrate how these tools, combined with outstanding police work and strong community partnerships, have helped identify suspects, recover evidence, and bring cases to a successful resolution.
As with any successful partnership, we welcome conversations, questions, and feedback. Because behind every piece of technology the mission is keeping our community safe.
