Looking for a little spooky fun in the Verde Valley this Halloween season? Arizona State Parks in Camp Verde has two exciting events coming up, and you won’t want to miss them!

Halloween Hike at Rockin’ River Ranch State Park | Sunday, October 25

Put on your best costume and head out for a Halloween Hike! Meet at the Ranch House parking lot at 10 AM for some outdoor fun, including a costume contest with a prize for the best costume!

A Haunting at the Fort | Saturday, October 31

Step back in time for a spooky evening at Fort Verde State Historic Park! From 6 to 8 PM, enjoy a lantern-lit walk through the historic fort, hear ghost stories, and maybe even encounter a few residents who never quite left. Regular park admission applies, with no additional event cost.

Whether you’re looking for a fun Halloween adventure outdoors or a ghostly glimpse into Camp Verde’s history, there’s something for everyone!

The rains have brought some beautiful color to the peaceful drive down Highway 260 into Camp Verde.

70 YEARS OF FORT VERDE DAYS! What a Saturday in Camp Verde. Our community showed up in a BIG way to celebrate the 70th Annual Fort Verde Days, and what a celebration it was!

From the packed parade route lined with smiling faces and hometown pride to the festival grounds filled with families, friends, entertainment, activities, and fun for all ages, Saturday was a wonderful reminder of what makes Camp Verde so special.

While Mother Nature had other plans for the remainder of the weekend, we don't want the rain to overshadow all of the incredible memories made and the hard work that went into bringing this milestone celebration to life.

A huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, parade participants, vendors, local businesses, and everyone who came out to celebrate 70 years of this beloved Camp Verde tradition!

Take a look at some of our favorite moments from Saturday! We are already looking forward to making more memories together next year.

After the way today ended and much discussion with vendors and review of the weather forecast for the next 24 hours, we have made the difficult desicion to cancel the vendor portion of Fort Verde Days for Sunday, October 11th. The Chili contest and Little Britches/Little Petticoats contest will also be cancelled. Please know that Fort Verde State Historic Park will still have events happening and it is free entry at the Park. The Quilt Show will be happening in the gymnasium 9:00-4:00 and Dutch Oven cookers will still be offering breakfast and lunch from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Cook Shack/Redinger on Hollamon St.
Thank you to all who attended the parade and other festivities today!
