For people who eagerly await the summer-only crop of sweet corn, preferably fresh from the roaster and dipped in butter. The Annual Camp Verde Corn Festival takes place at the Town of Camp Verde this July 15th & 16th, 2011. There are games and fun for all ages including contests for “The Corniest Corn Joke”, “Corn Shucking Contest”, “Corn Eating Contest” and last but not the least is the “Hog Call

ing Contest. The age groups for each of these contests are 5-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-15 years and then 16 and over. Friday, July 15th from 3pm - 10pm & Saturday, July 16th, 2011 from 10am to 10pm

What's to eat? FRESH ROASTED CORN!! "Fair" style food vendors! What should I do? Come on out for a weekend of family fun! There will be an "entertainment center" for the youngsters with lots of fun things. Live Entertainment and Lots of Family Fun! Games for all ages! We will crown the King and Queen of Corn! We'll have prizes for the winners of the CORNIEST JOKE and the HOG CALLING Contest.
