Maceo H. Jones Foundation, Inc. The MHJ Foundation helps to improve the quality of life for those in need throughout the community. Through this program, The Maceo H Jones Foundation, Inc.

Our organization was established in 2015 by a group that was able to see the correlation between the challenges faced by homeless individuals and the resources that are made available to them through private and publicly funded programs. The organization attempts to steer displaced people from homelessness by providing safe and positive alternatives and resources. With our comprehensive job traini

ng assistance, candidates will be able to utilize our computer lab for job searching, access the Internet, preparing their resume, copying and/or faxing it to businesses in which they are seeking employment and exploring careers and training options. provides a step by step guide to dealing with starting a new job, job preparation, job search assistance, time management and everything in between. Training can help the individual move up in today’s workforce to a well-paying, high-demand job. All of the workshops that we offer will be either on a one on one basis or in a group setting. We will help these individuals by providing them with hope in their time of need and refer them to outside services if needed. The Maceo H. Jones Foundation, Inc. also provides the homeless, senior citizens, veterans and families with hot meals during the holiday seasons. In addition, we provide Care Packages to the homeless or individuals in need. Our Care Packages consist of nonperishable food and hygiene items. We would love to have a stockpile of Care Packages available to distribute as needed. We also honor Veterans on Veterans Day with a thank you package. If you would like to contribute, please visit our donation page.

Yesterday, in honor of what would have been her 100th birthday, we didn’t just remember her… we carried her legacy forward.

We were honored to officially recognize April 8th as Maceo H. Jones Day of Service—a day to love, give, and serve others, just as she did.

In her honor, we visited a senior community that was near and dear to her heart—spending time, checking in, and sharing snack care packages with the residents.

There was so much love in the atmosphere.

Some smiled.
Some cried.
Some prayed.

And in that moment, we were reminded—it wasn’t about what we gave… it was about showing up.

It was about letting them know they were thought of, remembered, and loved— and that we were still there, willing and ready to serve.

Many shared heartfelt memories of the kindness Ms. Jones had shown them over the years.

Her impact was real.
Her presence was felt.
And her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.

Several residents expressed how meaningful it was to see us—and shared their condolences, as some were unable to attend her Homegoing Celebration.

Yesterday was a reminder of something powerful:

When you live a life of love and service, people never forget.

We were grateful for the opportunity to serve, connect, and continue the work she started.

Her legacy lives on—through every life she touched and every act of love and service. 💛

Maceo H. Jones Day of Service

A Legacy of Love That Continues
Some lives leave a mark that time cannot erase.

For 46 years, our matriarch, Ms. Maceo H. Jones showed us what it means to truly care for others— not just in words, but through action.

She opened her heart to the community.
She showed up, year after year.
She gave, even when it wasn’t easy.
And she made sure that no one who crossed her path felt forgotten.

Her life was not just about what she did…
It was about how she made people feel—seen, valued, and loved.

And that kind of legacy doesn’t end.

It continues.

So today, in honor of what would have been her 100th birthday, we don’t just remember her… we carry her legacy forward.

We are proud to officially designate April 8th as the Maceo H. Jones Day of Service— a day to love, to give, and to serve others just as she did.

Today, we will be visiting a senior community that was near and dear to her heart—
checking on residents, spending time with them, and passing out care packages as a reflection of the love she so freely gave.

Because the greatest way to honor her life… is to live out what she taught us.
And today, we are doing just that

We don’t just remember her… we carry her legacy forward—because it lives on through us. 💛

We invite you to join us today — by doing one act of kindness or service in her honor. No matter how big or small… it matters.
