We had a beautiful day for volunteers from Philadelphia Insurance Companies to serve at the day center, making our flower beds weedless and wonderful for our guests!

Welcome Kiki Downey JR. to Family Promise HCR. Kiki is an albino African fat-tailed gecko who LOVES to be held and to take naps on her leaf. She joins Lola our Giant leopard gecko. The kids love being able to see our two friends in their tanks!

Here's a quick update on the family of 7 who arrived at Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region at the end of March!

The two older kiddos have settled into their new school and are doing great, while the three little ones are having an absolute blast at daycare.

Dad is now working not one job, but TWO! Thanks to support from the United Way of the Capital Region's Workforce Development Program, we were able to help him get new eyeglasses. That support helped him secure a second job driving for Amazon, creating even more stability for his family.

With this additional income, the family is building their savings and actively searching for a place to call home!

The past few months haven't been easy, but this family has shown incredible determination and resilience. They are working hard to ensure that when they leave our program, they have a strong foundation for long-term success.

This is what community support makes possible.

This is why partnerships matter.

And this is why we do what we do.
