LARGE TRASH DROP-OFF FOR CAMERON RESIDENT 6/6/2026: On Saturday, June 6th, the City of Cameron is providing a large trash drop-off. There is no charge to citizens dropping off items. The only requirement is that participants must live within the city limits. Citizens wishing to utilize this free service will need to bring proof of Cameron residency (ex: utility bill) and valid ID.
Drop-off times are from 8:00 am through 12:00 noon. The Drop-Off Site is located at the parking lot directly north of the Public Safety Building on West Second Street. The entrance to the site will be from the north off of Cherry Street. Cars must NOT line up on West Second Street and block the Fire and Police Department access. Participants are encouraged to come down Cherry, from Fourth Street to the entrance of the lot.
There is no limit on the number of items, but there are a few restrictions on the type of items. Some prohibited items include any yard waste, tires, large automotive batteries, paint and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials. Appliances (without freon) will be accepted at this collection. Additionally, all items must be from residential households generated within the city limits. There is no assistance at the site, so be prepared to unload your items into large containers.
