As many of you have probably heard, the Skyline Community has suffered a devastating tragedy. Let's support them during their time of need by having a hat day this Friday! For just $1, students and staff members can wear a hat on Friday in school. All proceeds will go to assist this family in their time of need. Teachers can also have a jeans day on Monday for just $2! A donation envelope will also be in the office if you choose to donate . Below is a statement issued by Mr. Pursley, Skyline Elementary Principal.
“It is with great sorrow I inform you of a tragedy for one of our Skyline family’s . We have lost one of our 4 year old preschool students, along with her mother and unborn baby brother in an automobile accident last week. The father who was also in the accident sustained serious injuries, but will make it through the physical injuries. Please pray for his emotional injuries as they will be much harder to make it through than the physical ones. The 5th grade sibling was at softball practice and was not in the vehicle. As you know, students here at Skyline are much more than just students, our teachers and staff love them as their own. Please pray for everyone this tragedy has affected but especially the family. Although it seems like we have seen our fair share of issues the last couple of years, there isn't a better community anywhere that comes together and helps one another like this community. I have witnessed this over and over again. With that said, and as we should as a family, we are going to help this grieving family. “
