Today, we gathered around the flagpole in solemn remembrance of Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week. May 15th holds a special significance as Peace Officers Memorial Day, a day set aside to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our communities. It is a time to reflect on their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving.

During this week, we also want to honor one of our own, Mike Lockhart. Mike's dedication and service have left an indelible mark on our office and the community we serve. His commitment to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of our citizens embodies the true spirit of law enforcement.

We stand united in gratitude for all peace officers, past and present, who have dedicated their lives to safeguarding our communities. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

With summer just around the corner, the Sheriff's Office is stocking up the pantry with kid-friendly items to support our community's families. We're committed to ensuring every child has access to essential resources during the break. A lot of citizens have reached out on how to help contribute. Anyone can donate food items to the pantry at any time. If you have any questions contact Allison Lambright at 731-584-4632.
