The following road closures will be in place along Haddon Avenue during the week of June 8, 2026:

Pine to Walnut – Closed (active work zone)

Newton to Kaighn – Temporary lane restrictions at the following intersections (water main tie-ins)

Sycamore Street
Chestnut Street
Mt. Vernon Street

*Please note that crews are scheduled to continue water main tie-ins on Sycamore Street, Chestnut Street, and Mt. Vernon Street. During this work, some residents and businesses may experience temporary water service interruptions. Impacted properties will be notified directly when a shut-off is anticipated.

After water service is restored, you may experience temporary discoloration or air in the water line. If this occurs, please run cold water for several minutes until it becomes clear.

Please note the following:

No street parking is permitted on Haddon Avenue from Pine Street to Walnut Street. Violators will be towed at the owner's expense. Please see the attached notice for more information.

Haddon Avenue will reopen on Friday, June 12, beginning at 3:30 PM. All closures and detours will resume at 7:00 AM on Monday, June 15.

Local access for residents, businesses, emergency services, and deliveries will be maintained where feasible. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists around active work zones.

Temporary parking is available at designated lots near the following intersections:

Haddon & Walnut
Haddon & Kaighn

As you may have noticed, construction activity has ramped up along the corridor, with multiple crews working simultaneously to advance improvements. While this activity results in some short-term disruptions, this approach allows work to progress more efficiently. Soon you will begin to see more above-ground progress, including new sidewalks and curbing.

We appreciate your continued patience as crews complete this critical phase of work.
