☎️ Fifth graders brought language arts to life in Mrs. VanHook’s class as they practiced identifying and using different types of sentences, including imperative and exclamatory sentences.

A telephone game gave students a fun way to practice dialogue, listening skills, expression, and correct punctuation. Learning is required, and these Cardinals are rising to the challenge. As they say in Mrs. VanHook’s class, “Nothing can stop me; I’m all the way up!”

➕ Fourth graders in Ms. King’s class are growing as mathematicians and scientists!

In math, students divided and labeled number lines, plotted fractions, and used their models to identify equivalent fractions. During the “Two of the Same” cool-down, they explained how fractions with different names can represent the same value.

In science, students used questions from their Driving Question Board to brainstorm investigations that could help the class discover answers. From explaining mathematical reasoning to planning scientific investigations, these Cardinals are learning to think deeply, ask questions, and share their ideas!

Students from Mr. Launius’s homeroom wrapped up class with a circle affirmation:

What a great reminder that building confidence and encouraging one another are just as important as building skills!

⚾️ Teammates giving back! 🫶

A big thank you to the OC Rockets baseball team for donating school supplies to Ivory Intermediate! Teammates and Ivory students Jack Jones, Amir Sams, and J’Veon Miller helped deliver the donations to their school last week. ❤️💙💚🖤

We love seeing our students learning that leadership and service extend far beyond the classroom, and we can’t wait to cheer on these boys as they take the field as Cardinals in a few years! ❤️🤍
