There are 3,499 children in foster care in Arkansas and only 1,383 open foster homes to care for them.

If you would like to get involved, reach out to me. There are many different ways to help.

The CALLโ€™s vision is that there would be more than enough Christian foster homes in Arkansas so that no child would have to wait for a safe, loving home. In order to see this vision come to life, we need people who will:

* Open their homes so no child is waiting for safety
* Support foster families so they can keep fostering effectively
* Volunteer so we have enough hands and feet to serve children and families well
* Pray and get their church engaged so children and teens can see Christians rallying around them and demonstrating the love of Christ.

How can I support foster families during reunification?

After a child reunifies with their biological family, their foster family may experience a wide variety of emotions, often all at once. If you know and love a foster family, here are some ways to support them as they grieve and celebrate the beautifully hard reunification day.

Create space for foster parents to share honestly about what they're feeling. Resist the urge to fix, minimize, or compare their experience. Simply listening with compassion can be one of the greatest gifts you offer.

Reunification is often both heartbreaking and hope-filled. Celebrate the family's role in helping a child or teen return home while also acknowledging the very real loss they may be experiencing.

Offer a fun evening of activities for their children and encourage the foster parents to reconnect with loved ones, enjoy a favorite activity, enjoy a date night, or simply take time to rest.

Ease some of the practical burdens by delivering a fresh, homemade meal or giving a gift card to one of their favorite restaurants. Simple acts of care can provide comfort during an emotional season.

Give foster parents space to share what is on their hearts and minds, and pray with them through their emotions, fears, hopes, and questions as they entrust the child and biological family to God's care.

Support often pours in immediately after reunification, but grief can surface weeks or months later. A simple text, phone call, or invitation can remind foster families they are not walking this season alone.

Did you know that reunification, when safe and appropriate, is the primary goal of foster care?

Foster care gives children a safe place to land while their families receive the support and resources needed to heal and move toward reunification.

At The CALL, we're honored to partner with DCFS in this work by creating safe spaces where biological families can reconnect and equipping the Christian community to walk alongside foster families in this effort.

During National Reunification Month, we celebrate every family working towards healing and restoration. ๐Ÿฉต

Get yours before theyโ€™re gone!!

We made something that smells like summerโ€”but means so much more ๐Ÿ’›

Our peach lemonade soap ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‹ was created in partnership with The CALL in Arkansas to help support foster families and children right here in Ouachita and Dallas Counties.

Every bar is handmade in small batches, but the purpose behind it is even bigger than the product itself.

For every $12 bar sold, $6 is donated directly to The CALL, helping provide training, resources, and support so children in foster care can have safe, stable, and loving homes.

When you choose this soap, youโ€™re not just bringing home something beautifulโ€”youโ€™re helping change a story.

A family's journey toward healing sometimes looks like a dining room table covered in crayons that siblings left behind. Other times, it looks like a disheveled couch after storytime. It can be a game of tag outside, sharing favorite treats at a picnic table, or cooking a fresh meal in the kitchen. And still other times, it looks like a damp towel left on the side of a tub or a near-empty box of tissues on the coffee table.

These moments of healing, full of both joy and heartache, happen every day in our Support Centers across the state. Last year, we welcomed these moments in the 4,971 family visitations that took place in our Support Centers. This year, we've already hosted more than 2,000 visits, and that many more moments of healing.

Behind every number is a child eager to see their parent, a caregiver working toward restoration, and a family taking one more step toward being together again.

Our Support Centers are safe, private, family-oriented spaces where children and their families can spend meaningful time together during foster care. They are places where parents and children can laugh, play, talk, celebrate milestones, and simply practice being family.

Family visitations are one of the strongest contributors to successful, safe, and appropriate reunifications. During National Reunification Month, we're reminded of the pivotal role our Support Centers play in providing welcoming spaces where those visits can happen.

Thank you to everyone who helps make these moments possible. ๐Ÿ’™

Will you join us in praying for biological families today?

Many parents are working hard to overcome significant challenges and create a safe, stable future for themselves and their children. Some are carrying wounds from difficult experiences in their own childhoods and need support, encouragement, and hope along the way.

Today, take a moment to pray for these moms and dads. Pray for strength, perseverance, healing, and the determination to keep moving forward as they work toward reunification with their children. And pray that they and their children would encounter the love of Jesus again and again through the people walking alongside them on the journey toward reunification.
