NJEDA Technology Business Tax Certificate Transfer Program supports innovative start-ups by enabling qualified, unprofitable New Jersey-based technology or biotechnology companies with fewer than 225 U.S. employees to sell a percentage of their net operating losses and R&D tax credits. Participants can use capital raised through the NOL program to help cover allowable costs incurred in operating their businesses, such as salaries, R&D, and other working capital expenditures.

Funding Amount: Up to $75 million annually

The NJ Water Bank Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant program provides funding to municipalities for the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure needs for combined sewer overflows (CSO), sanitary sewer overflows (SSO), and stormwater management. Priority is given to those serving overburdened or financially distressed communities, those implementing a long-term control plan for CSOs or SSOs, or requesting funding for a project included on the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Intended Use Plan, and/or the use of green technology. Additional points are given to those who can provide documented localized flooding based on storm intensity and for applicants implementing local hiring requirements. 

Funding Amount: 
- Up to $1,600,000
- Up to $2,000,000 (for distressed communities)
