❤️ ECEC Picnic with Moms ❤️

Our ECEC students loved getting to spend special time with their moms and special guests during our Picnic with Moms! From sweet smiles to big hugs and shared lunches, it was a wonderful day full of special memories. ❤️

The love and support our students receive from their families help build the confidence, security, and encouragement they need to learn and grow each day. These strong relationships are such an important part of helping every child succeed, and we are thankful for the partnership between home and school.

CFSD classes will be back in session on Tuesday, April 28, on a normal schedule.

We appreciate the many individuals and teams who have worked diligently to restore power and prepare our campuses for reopening, including CFSD maintenance, custodial, and food service crews, area utility workers, and our community partners.

We understand that some families experienced more significant impact from the storms. If your family needs additional support to return to school, please reach out to your child’s school.

Buses will run their regular routes. If you are aware of any roads that are currently inaccessible, please email Mr. Toney at [email protected].

We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back. Stay safe, and we’ll see you Tuesday.

CFSD Classes are Canceled on Monday Due to Storm Damage & Power Outages

Due to widespread power outages and storm damage across our district, classes will be canceled tomorrow, April 27. District events are also canceled and will be rescheduled.

Our priority right now is ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and families. We are working to assess conditions at each campus and determine when it is safe to resume normal operations.

We hope all of our Cardinal families are safe and without significant damage following last night’s storms. Please take care, and know that we are thinking of you.

Please keep in mind the following safety reminders from Camden Fire Department:

🔘 Treat all downed utility lines as live electrical lines unless directly informed otherwise by a utility representative.
🔘 Use caution when clearing downed trees or limbs, and make sure no utility lines are entangled in branches.
🔘 If using a portable generator, never use it indoors. Place it outside in a well-ventilated area. Carbon monoxide is an odorless gas that can be deadly, even in small amounts.

CFSD Employees: Please check your CFSD email for additional information regarding reporting expectations for those who will be part of clean-up efforts and preparing our campuses for reopening.

Mrs. Toney serves as a preschool teacher - a special shoutout to her students in the Frog Room 🐸 - and plays an important role in helping our youngest Cardinals begin their educational journey. Through patience, care, and a nurturing classroom environment, she helps build the foundation for learning, confidence, and curiosity that will carry students throughout their school years.

Her dedication to supporting every child and creating a welcoming space for families makes a lasting impact on our Early Childhood Center each day.

📚 A Special Visitor at ECEC! 📚

The Cat in the Hat stopped by this week to help our youngest Cardinals celebrate Read Across America Week!
