WasteWater Operators Corporation needs a WasteWater Treatment Plant Field Operator
Looking for a candidate who can work Monday 8-1 pm Wednesday 8-1 pm. 10 hours/wk. Potential for Thursday 8-12 pm is open for discussion.
WWOC operates and maintains WasteWater plants at various towns, schools, mobile home parks, etc.
We are currently looking for a part-time WasteWater Treatment Plant Field Operator. This person should be dependable, reliable and willing to learn. Must have a high school diploma, Valid Indiana driver’s license, references, a great attitude, a flexible schedule, a good attendance record, and be willing to work independently.
It is mostly an outside position so you will be subject to the weather no matter what it is. You will be provided with boots/carharts after the first 30 days.
There is a lot of driving with a company Van/Jeep provided while working.
You must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Please understand there are some dirty tasks and you may smell some nasty things at times, but you remain protected with rubber gloves and use other safety measures.
We will train on how to take care of the WasteWater Treatment plants and show you how to grab samples to bring back to the lab.
You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
1. Driving a company vehicle the majority of the job from going worksite to worksite as well as maintaining a good driving record.
2. Responsible for lab equipment; such as, I-Pad, Keys, Coolers, DO Meters, Samplers, Test kits, etc.
3. Keeping an accurate log at each plant recording all job duties performed that day.
4. Maintain and Clean WasteWater Treatment Plants. meaning: spraying all tanks, making sure everything is running as it should, clean/clear up any clogs, refill chemicals, take DO readings, performing other field tests, keeping track of supplies and letting us know when to order more and performing any maintenance as asked to do so.
5. Grabbing wastewater samples and bring them back to the lab for analysis.
6. Some lab help may be required as needed. We will train you!
We need a team player and someone who is willing to grow with our small business and take ownership of the field work. You will get paid training for 30-45 days and after that you will work independently. This position has no benefits at this time. There’s potential to make this job a career if interested!
