Eurovision 2026 Summit
Athens, Greece

Naheed Sitara, Advisor for Bangla Eurovision and Chair of the New England Bangladeshi American Foundation, is attending and being recognized for her impactful work with the Bangladeshi diaspora in the United States.

The Nebaf platform tells the story of a graduate student at Northeastern University—a woman, a single mother, and her struggles and survival.

She ensured her community had a hub for building connections and accessing resources to help them survive and create a home away from home, with a helping hand, not alone.

We deeply appreciate her essential role as founder, leader, and guiding light of NEBAF Inc.

Today, Nebaf Inc. attended the Cambridge Nonprofit Coalition's 2026 Annual Meeting at the Foundry in Cambridge. This gathering is a key platform for nonprofit leaders and stakeholders to reflect on the past year's accomplishments. Through discussions, we explored challenges and opportunities for the Cambridge nonprofit sector.

The event began with a networking breakfast, fostering connections and collaborations to strengthen our community impact. As we reviewed our achievements, it was clear our efforts positively affected many in Cambridge.

We also aligned on strategies for the future. Sharing insights and experiences helps us address social issues and improve our effectiveness. The unity and purpose in the room reaffirmed my commitment to our mission. Together, we aim to advance our vision and enhance nonprofit practices in the years ahead.

**Community Announcement**

Dear Community Members,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Mohammad Miahjee, a former member of our school committee, is currently in the final stages of his life.

In this difficult time, we would like to express our gratitude to Lynn and Medford, Mousque, and Bane’s President Khoka for their support as arrangements are being made for his funeral in the coming days.

Tufts Medical Center has stated that no further recovery is possible, and we have also reached out to Boston Medical, which has assessed the situation and confirmed the same. We appreciate the cooperation of both medical institutions during this challenging time.

Additionally, we are trying to locate Mohammad's family from his previous marriage so they can spend his final moments with him. If anyone has information about his children or family, please reach out to us at 857-268-9403 or +1 (617) 953-1247.

Interested individuals may visit him one last time to say their goodbyes.
Tufts Medical Center, Proger 6 CCU (6th floor), 800 Washington St, Boston, MA.
Thank you for your support and compassion during this time.

Sincerely,
Farhana Khorshed

NEBAF's mission is to provide our student ambassadors with a platform to develop their administrative and critical thinking skills and become the next generation of community leaders.
Good job, Raizel.

**Spotlight on
Allyship: Raizel Mashood**
At the Trauma Informed Learning Alliance
(TILA), we believe that **allyship** is about listening, learning, advocating, and taking action to support individuals and communities impacted by trauma, discrimination, and inequity.

This month, we are proud to spotlight
*Raizel Mashood**, a summer intern from*Boston University** who exemplifies the values of **community engagement**,*social justice**, and **trauma-informed
leadership**

Raizel is an American-Bangladeshi undergraduate student majoring in
Health Science with a minor in
**Sociology**. As an aspiring healthcare professional, she is passionate about advancing **health equity**, **mental health awareness**, and **trauma-informed care** that recognizes the unique experiences of individuals affected by race, religion, culture, and identity.

Her commitment to service began by observing her grandmother and mother lead the **New England Bangladeshi American Foundation (NEBAF) **, where she learned the importance of nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and building stronger communities. She further developed her passion for allyship through her work with the **American Muslim Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council (AMMWEC)** and participation in **Students Making Change (SMC)** is a student-led anti-racism initiative focused on equity, inclusion, and positive social change.

Through her internship with TILA, Raizel is expanding her knowledge of **trauma-informed practices**, **community wellness**, **resilience**, and **inclusive leadership** while supporting initiatives that promote healing and belonging for all.

Thank you, Raizel, for demonstrating what allyship looks like in action and for your commitment to creating a more compassionate, equitable, and trauma-informed future.
