We're excited to share this amazing Home Sweet Home Community Conversations Toolkit from our friends at the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD)!

This resource helps spark meaningful conversations about what home, community, independence, and choice truly mean for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Because everyone deserves more than just a place to live. Everyone deserves the opportunity to choose where they live, who they live with, and how they participate in their community.

ICYMI: 📣The National Center for Health Statistics has proposed major revisions for the National Health Interview Survey. These changes would start in 2028. NCHS is seeking public comment on these changes to the NHIS. Comments must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET October 19, 2026.

The NHIS is one of the nation's most important sources of information about health, disability, functioning, health care access, and health outcomes. The proposed changes include significant updates to questions and to how information is gathered. The proposed revisions will make it harder to identify in the data people with disabilities—especially people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. People with disabilities have a right to be represented in national data.
