⛔️Public Statement Addressing Ongoing Defamation and Misinformation Efforts Including Unsubstantiated Allegations Against the Cambridge Fire/EMS District and District Chief Blount. The attached public statement, read by the district commission president at the commission meeting on 9/30/24, provides the district's formal response.⛔️ "Today we take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank Mr. Blount for his service to the commission, to thank both the EMS District staff and Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism, and to confirm the District's support of Mr. Blount's continued service to the commission".

▪️Your emergency medical services have been local for decades. They have never been for profit or contracted from outside the district communities.
🛑We currently have eight 8️⃣ district staff member’s that live in the Village of Cambridge and over half our full-time staff live in or within 10 miles of the district❗️

🚨Our district team had a busy and productive month of October responding to 5️⃣7️⃣ EMS/Rescue calls in the district and a record breaking 6️⃣4️⃣9️⃣ emergency calls so far in 2024❗️
▪️Our Turn Out Time (the time from the 911 call to one of our ambulances responding) is better than ever-dropping to 2️⃣ minutes, which means we get to you or your loved one’s emergency faster than the national average, which leads to better patient outcomes and lives saved.
▪️Did you also know that we have one of the most diverse and dynamic teams in both Jefferson and Dane County with almost half of our staff being women⁉️
▪️ Your emergency services have been local for decades, focused on providing excellent service to the community and not the bottom line. They have never been for-profit or contracted from outside the district communities.
It is our honor and privilege to continue to serve our district communities and we will continue to give 100% on every call we respond to. Thank you for your continued support! 🚨

Today, on National First Responder Day, we would like to say a special Thank You to the selfless individuals who protect and serve our communities. Thier hard work, dedication and sacrifice keep us safe every day.

🛑The Village of Cambridge and the Town of Oakland voted to withdraw from the Cambridge Community Fire & EMS District, which leaves three remaining communities in the district.
▪️The Cambridge and Oakland withdrawal will regrettably affect all Fire & EMS district services, as the district owns and operates the fire station, all Fire and EMS vehicles and equipment.
▪️ Our EMS/Rescue team has had a record breaking year so far, already responding to 6️⃣3️⃣5️⃣ emergency calls. 🚑🚁
Our Turn Out Time (the time from the 911 call to one of our ambulances responding) is better than it ever has been in the history of the district, dropping to just 2️⃣ minutes, which means we get to you or your loved one’s emergency faster than the national average, which leads to better patient outcomes and lives saved!

🚨Our district team had a busy and productive month of August responding to 8️⃣1️⃣ EMS/Rescue calls in the district and 5️⃣2️⃣2️⃣ calls so far in 2024. Our team also provided EMS/Rescue services at Utica Fest, the Try Cambridge Triathlon and hosted a blood drive!

Our Turn Out Time (the time from the 911 call to one of our ambulances responding) is better than ever-dropping to two minutes, which means we get to you or your loved one’s emergency faster than the national average, which leads to better patient outcomes and lives saved.

🚨Our team had a busy and warm month of July responding to 73 EMS/Rescue calls in the district❗️🚨

Team members also participated in Cops and Bobbers. We had so much fun with the kids! : )
We also helped a local family in need with moving. Thank you to the Cambridge Area Resource Team for making us aware of this need in our community, which prompted us to help.
