On Thursday and Friday mornings, Cambridge residents 60+ can enjoy Tai Chi, Portrait Drawing, Dance, Yoga, and a Strong & Stretched exercise class. 🧘 🎨 💃

You can also join a drop-in Knitting Group🧶and socialize in the 2nd Floor Common Area during program hours.

A stunning new mural has transformed the basketball courts at Donnelly Field! 🏀🎨

The colorful new design celebrates Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta and his Portuguese heritage, featuring his signature number 88 and Portugal’s national colors. A team of Portuguese artists traveled to Cambridge to bring the project to life.

Queta made history as the first Portuguese player drafted into the NBA and became an NBA champion with the Celtics in 2024. Now, this vibrant Cambridge landmark brings together basketball, public art, cultural pride, and community.

Cambridge is making history as it is the first municipality in Massachusetts to launch a Civic Assembly. 🗣️

40 residents will be chosen via a lottery to represent different neighborhoods, backgrounds and experiences. Together, they'll learn and weigh in on public safety and surveillance technology, including gunshot detection systems and video cameras in city parks, and then deliver recommendations straight to the City Council.

Big decisions are ahead, and Cambridge is seeking to gather as many perspectives in one room.

🎟️ Free for all ages! We have arts & crafts, amusement rides, entertainment, free food, and giveaways (while supplies last). Enjoy music from DJ Special K, aerialists and acrobatic performers, plus seven amusement rides, including a trackless train!

A Civic Assembly is a group of community members who gather to learn about an issue (in this case, it will be about public safety and surveillance technologies in our community), talk about it thoughtfully, and make recommendations to the Cambridge City Council. Members are selected by lottery from among residents who volunteer to participate. The selection process is designed so that the Assembly is broadly representative of the community it serves.
 
Participants will receive a $1,000 stipend, plus we will accommodate childcare, eldercare, transportation, interpretation and accessibility support.  [💰] 🚗👵👶
 
Anyone in your household — 16 years and older — can apply with the special code on your postcard. Just do it by September 27. ✅
