Guernsey County CASA The mission of Guernsey County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is to speak for the best interests of abused, neglected or dependent child.

The Court Appointed Special Advocates Program is affiliated with and under the direction of Guernsey County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division. It is the goal of the program to promote and support quality volunteer advocacy for children to provide each child a safe, permanent, nuturing home. Volunteers also receive on going trainings to insure that advocacy is of the highest quality. Volunteer advocates are always needed.

BECOME A CASA VOLUNTEER

Help change a child's life

Many children need the support of a caring, committed adult. CASA Volunteers’ best interest advocacy helps ensure that children are safe, have a permanent home and have the opportunity to thrive.

WHO BECOMES A CASA VOLUNTEER?

CASA volunteers are regular people, from all walks of life, who have been rigorously screened and trained by their local program.

Each volunteer receives more than 30 hours of training before they receive their first case, with an additional 12 hours of continued education required annually.

Volunteers receive ongoing support to help them advocate effectively on a child’s behalf.
