In light of the global impact of COVID-19, the Cultural Care Kids First Foundation will be providing a $25,000 donation to Save the Children, an organization that has launched a Global Coronavirus Response to help schools and community programs and to keep children healthy, safe and protected.

We thank our staff, LCCs, host families and au pairs for supporting Kids First and enabling us to make a difference in this time of need.

10 years ago today we were visiting Casa do Zezinho in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We met incredibly strong kids who have had some pretty hard things thrown at them. Their positivity, kindness and resiliency was inspirational. A wonderful Kids First memory!

Placement Manager Chelsea Holloway made a special friend during our recent Kids First trip to Brazil. Cultural Care Au Pair sponsors their favorite activity....the Mosaic Room. Most kids give their first mosaic to the moms, this little girl made her first one a special CCAP Heart for Chelsea. Such an honor!

Through Kids First, we have the opportunity to work with incredible women all over the world who have dedicated their lives to helping children in need. Women like Esther, in Mezquitera, Mexico, who convinced her community to let her use a small, abandoned neighborhood police station for an after school program. Esther provides homework help, arts and crafts, and lots of love, keeping up to 40 children a day off the streets. Happy International Women's Day to the selfless heroes who are making the world a better place.

"It takes a great deal of courage, strength, love and hope to keep going and these kids have it.” Read about LCC Andrijana and her inspirational visit to help children in Brazil.

At Cultural Care's 2017 National Training Conference, we recognized an amazing au pair, Mari Peixoto, for her outstanding contribution to Kids First through her One Dollar Changes Lives campaign. Mari grew up near a favela in Sao Paulo, Brazil – and before coming to the U.S. as an au pair, she vol...

We're excited to share with you a new children's book for sale on the Kids First Shop! "What You Can Do, I Can Too" is a rhyming story written by author and Cultural Care host mom Helen Vallaeys. By showing women in a variety of professions—from scientist, to firefighter, to pilot—the book aims to inspire young girls to DO and BE anything they choose. When you buy the book through our online shop, all proceeds will benefit children in need through our Kids First initiatives around the world!
