Events happening this week!! Show up to support union power on campus.

Last week, we voted to amend our demands for our sanctuary campus campaign to include explicit contract protections for staff and students on campus, in parallel with the bargaining priorities of the GSU and 32BJ. As a chapter of the YDSA, we are committed to fighting for the freedom of the working class from xenophobic injustice and oppression; we recognize that every fight on this campus towards greater freedoms for workers is a shared struggle, and we are devoted to organizing student support in this struggle. Thus, supporting the contract fights of organized labor on campus is imperative towards the progression of our mission for working class emancipation.

We'll be tabling in front of Lobby 7 throughout this week to support these causes - if you see us, come say hi! Sign the petitions! Link in bio.

32BJ SEIU, representing facilities workers, and MIT GSU are fighting for affordable healthcare insurance and fair wages; if MIT can drop 3 million dollars to impose AI-driven surveillance on its own community, they can provide their workers with ​wages amidst rising costs of living. MIT STUDENTS AND WORKERS DEMAND A SANCTUARY CAMPUS!

Our co-chair Anton spoke at the MIT May Day rally about the necessity of organizing ourselves as students and workers to fight for immigrants and against the capitalist system that exploits and terrorizes them.
