There are rear fang Venomous garter snakes have rear fangs but the venom is not a danger to humans yes there harmless but saying garter snakes are not Venomous is misleading

They're not venomous—they're harmless. The worst they'll do is musk on you, which smells terrible but won't hurt. A bite is basically a scratch.

Want them in your yard? Give them what they need. A flat rock or board in a sunny spot for basking works. A brush pile or rock pile for cover. And skip the yard spraying. Snakes can't hunt until they warm up, so basking spots matter.

Spend ten minutes learning which snakes are actually dangerous where you live. Most states have only two or three to worry about. Once you know them, the question's settled. Everything else is working for you, eating the rodents that carry ticks and chew holes in your walls.

Store Update

I want to apologize for not being at the store today. My car had a problem with the steering and unfortunately it’s not driveable right now. 😞

I’m working on getting it taken care of as quickly as I can. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, and I’m sorry to anyone who stopped by today and missed me.

I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I know more. ❤️🦎

🦎 Long Weekend + Expo Prep Update! 🐍

With the long weekend and the Meadville Reptile Expo coming up this Sunday, I may not be at the store as much this week while I get everything ready for the show.

That being said, I’ll still do my best to have someone at the store for at least part of the day throughout the week for anyone looking to stop in. If you’re planning on coming by, feel free to reach out ahead of time so I can make sure someone is there to help you.

Another huge milestone here at RBSJ Reptile Realm today!

All 8 of our ball python babies successfully took their second meal today. That's a big step because consistent feeding is one of the best signs that hatchlings are thriving and getting established.

On top of that, we found 5 new eggs in our mourning gecko enclosure! The breeding projects just keep moving forward.

It's always exciting to see healthy babies growing and new life on the way. Onward and upward! 🐍🦎🥚

Couple appointments this week for my kids will be in reptarium a bit later today also working on getting the Meadville Reptile Expo ready as we about 2 weeks away now busy busy if anybody needs anything just lmk ill get it worked in to meet with ya we do have some crickets and a ton of feeder rodents available
