🐊 Help Us Name Our Newest Ambassador! 🐊
Many of you have already met our amazing animal ambassadors:
🦎 Kiada – our beautiful Albino Tegu
🐍 Clementine – our stunning Super Dwarf Reticulated Python
🐊 And now... our newest ambassador, an American Alligator!
Our little gator needs an official name, and we've narrowed it down to three favorites:
🔥 Sobek
🌊 Riptide
⚔️ Kronos
We're personally leaning toward Sobek, named after the ancient Egyptian crocodile god. It has a powerful reptilian feel and a strong connection to crocodilian history and mythology, making it a perfect fit for an alligator ambassador. 🐊👑

This beautiful girl is our 43.75% Dwarf/Super Dwarf Sunfire Snow Goldenchild Reticulated Python. She's currently in blue and getting ready to shed, and she's still absolutely gorgeous!
While she is not for sale, she is available for supervised educational interactions and photos.

WHY IT'S ILLEGAL TO KILL SNAKES. (IT'S ALSO UNETHICAL AND IMMORAL.)

When I tell people that it’s illegal to kill snakes in Utah (and many other states and jurisdictions as well), they often want to know why. There are several reasons:

1. Wildlife is the property of the state, which means it belongs to all of us. The snake in your yard doesn’t belong to you; therefore, you have no right to kill it.

2. Snakes are non-game animals. The state doesn’t sell licenses to hunt them, and there is no “open season” on snakes, especially in places where they're protected by law.

3. Snakes are not considered “consumption animals.” Although you can eat them, they probably wouldn’t be your first choice of wild game.

4. Killing a snake, or selling or even keeping a prohibited or protected species without permission from the state makes you a poacher.

5. It’s unethical to kill a harmless and beneficial animal.

6. Snakes eat the rodents that would ravage our food crops, and can carry numerous pathogens including plague, tularemia, Hantavirus, tick-borne encephalitis, Lyme disease, and a host of other serious and potentially fatal diseases. If you have never suffered from any of these maladies, you should probably thank a snake.

7. Learning to coexist with other life forms on this planet makes you a better human being. Practice peaceful coexistence!

She was a little unsure at first, but quickly settled in and did amazing.

We know we’ve been a little quiet lately 😅 We were at Mega Expo and honestly it took a LOT out of us — we were absolutely whooped 😂

The good news is we were able to get a few reptiles rehomed into their forever homes, which always makes events like that worth it ❤️🦎🐍

Today we’re getting back into the swing of things with lots of cleaning, organizing, animal care, and getting the store back in top shape!

Heading to open the store now, so feel free to stop on out, say hi, and meet some of the animals! We appreciate all the support and everyone sticking with us while we recover from the busy weekend.

Good morning everyone! We will be open today from 10AM–3PM. We will briefly be away from the shop from 2:00PM–2:20PM to pick up our son, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Temporary store hours until further notice:
