Cookies, water slides & BIG memories!

Big Sister Lindsey and Little Sister Perla know how to make the most of their time together! When Perla wanted to try some special cookies from Crumbl Cookie, Lindsey was ready for a sweet adventure, and they both LOVED them!

Then, the fun continued! Perla and Lindsey, along with other BBSVC matches, got to cool off and make even more memories at Knott’s Berry Farm Soak City, thanks to the incredible generosity of a local donor!

These moments may seem simple, but having a caring adult show up, share new experiences and create memories can make a BIG difference in a young person’s life. 💚🖤

Thanks to Ventura Auto Center, our 100 Big Brothers message is going BIG...literally!

Their generous sponsorship is putting our recruitment campaign on a billboard and helping us reach more men across Ventura County who can make a BIG difference in a young person’s life.

Our goal: 100 Big Brothers in 2026.

There are nearly 120 youth waiting for a mentor, and about 80% are boys. We’re looking for 100 men ready to step up, show up, and become the Big Brother someone is waiting for.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

As our team works on a year-end report for our partners, we've unlocked a very cool update: that served a combined 1,173 UNDUPLICATED YOUTH in our Simi and Ventura Youth Rooms throughout the last year!

Shout out to our Youth Room Case Managers and Program Managers: Nathanael, Lety, Melissa, Monet, and Lesli! Through them, our High School Mentor Program, Youth Leadership Councils, and Small Group Mentoring opportunities grew!

✨ What a magical night! ✨

Emerald Illusions was everything we hoped it would be—and more! From incredible magicians and tarot card readers to dancing, a DJ, a hula hoop artist, a juggler, delicious food and drinks, awards, prizes, inspirational speakers, and the stunning Glen Tavern Inn, there was truly something magical around every corner.

But the real magic? Mentorship.

Throughout the evening, we celebrated the incredible power of connection and the life-changing impact of having a caring adult mentor in a young person’s corner. Every laugh, story, performance, and celebration helped shine a light on the reason we gathered: to support youth mentoring programs that help young people reach their full potential.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, volunteered, performed, sponsored, celebrated, and helped make Emerald Illusions such an unforgettable evening. Together, we’re creating a little more magic in the lives of Ventura County youth.

Because when we come together, mentorship truly is magical.
