What has Teacher Kim been up to? Lots!!! Miss Donna Mallon came to visit. Teacher Kim was her tour guide. And Miss Donna says it's a go!!! She is now packing and finishing up her last very lucky swim students in Florida. Donna will be on the road again to open up her 5th swim school with Teacher Kim in our neck of the woods! 😃 Coming 2026 a new swim school will open in Stanwood, Camano, and Warm Beach. For the many kids who need to learn how to swim by very experienced swim teachers keep your eyes open. We are both so excited to bring our way of teaching to the young(6 months+) and older (adults), to special need children. Teacher Kim jumped into the deep end!!!
🤔Where will she pop up?

I realized that I couldn't teach all these kids on my own. We live on an island, with prescious kids, vulnerable to lakes, rivers, pools, and the Puget Sound all around us.
This is why I am jumping into the deep end for them.
I am bringing on a 30-year Infant Aquatics veteran, Miss Donna, from Florida. She has been a collegiate swimmer even. She is not only amazing and kind, but knows this business better than anyone I know.
So, as I say goodbye to the Country Club Pool on Sept 18th, it is not in sadness but with pure joy and excitement for the families I currently serve and future kids that want to join our family.
Donna and I will resurface at our own private swim school on Camano, in Stanwood, Warm Beach, or the Kayak area. You will be able to take swim lessons all the time Monday through Saturday.
😃 We are staying local!!!
Our goal, Lord willing, is to be up and running by the first of the year, if not by the beginning of the spring season.

I’m sorry but you can’t take my kids swimming.
It’s not personal. It’s parenting.

Because water safety isn’t a casual responsibility.
It takes full attention, constant vigilance, and a deep understanding of the risks.
And unless I trust you 100% to treat their lives like your own, the answer is no.

One second. That’s all it takes.
And I’m not willing to gamble with that.

You might be hurt. You might not get it.
But my job isn’t to make everyone comfortable.
It’s to keep my babies alive.

So no you can’t take them swimming.
And I won’t apologize for protecting them.

Amen!

I don’t care who you are, you’re not taking my children to any large body of water without me. I don’t care if you’ve raised kids, if you’re a strong swimmer, or if you think I’m being “overprotective.” Water is one of those things that takes no time at all to turn from fun to tragedy. It doesn’t take but a second for a child to slip, to lose their footing, to panic, or for something completely out of our control to happen.

Drowning is silent, fast, and unforgiving. And as a parent, it’s my responsibility to be there, to keep my eyes on them, to step in the very moment something looks off. My kids are my whole world, and there’s no such thing as being too cautious when it comes to their safety.

So yes, call me overbearing if you want, but if there’s a lake, a river, a pool, or the ocean involved—you better believe I’ll be right there too. My children’s lives are far too precious to gamble on “just a quick swim” or “I’ll watch them, don’t worry.” Some things are non-negotiable, and this is one of them.

The #1 one cause of death from 1 - 4yrs old is drowning. Now we finally have an experienced instructor on Camano Island to help your little kiddos stay safe around all this water.
Kids can save themselves by rolling over and floating 2 months after they learn to crawl. And kids can swim 2 months after they learn to walking.

This is what I think about every little child I train to swim in 6 weeks at 1 and 2yrs old.
This is why I do fully clothed test before I graduate anyone, 1yr to adult, to a strokes class.
This is why I ask you parents please trust me with your children before it is too late. They are amazing people. You no longer need to wait until they are 3yrs old or have a water tragedy to learn how to swim.

Almost one month under my belt with the new Infant Aquatics program. Things are going great!
The feed back I am getting is..."I just can't believe it! In just 2 weeks my child is swim on their own and in 3 weeks is floating on their own while you sing songs to them." And any where from 4 - 6 weeks kids are gently being pushed in the pool by me fully clothed and surviving my float adjustments while continuing to float for 2 mins straight.
Can't be prouder of all the kids that have graduated the 1st month of this Infant Aquatics program.

People are calling in now and reserving their spots. All it takes is an Infant Aquatics registration form and $100 non refundable registration fee to hold your spot. You pay for the program by the end of the 1st swim lesson week. I have people already thinking about the summer and booking in May. Don't be left behind. Keep your kids safe by being prepared for your summer water activities.

For all new swimmers to me I do survival swim lessons which are private lessons 4 days a week Mon - Thurs times vary 3-7pm for 4-6 weeks. Kids older than 3yrs old usually take 3 - 4 weeks. Then they move on to group strokes classes one day a week. All swim lessons are $25 each. To register for a spot fill out the infant Aquatics registration form online from camanocountryclub.com and submit in the black box with a $100 fee. This box is on the outside of the bldg on the right side of the doors. This fee holds a spot for you. Then you can pay the rest by the end of the 1st week of class.

A lot of you know I teach Infantaquatics.com type of survival swim lessons now.
I just want everyone to know it is best to have your kids learn this by 4yrs old. You can start as young as 2 months after your child starts walking. It can be taught up to 7yrs old. At 4yrs old they will learn to swim in 6 weeks. At 7yrs old they can learn in 4 weeks. However, it is harder the older they are.
The program costs $600 + a $100 registration fee to hold your spot until you start then paying for the program by the end of the 1st week. This way you can make sure I have the best interest for your child and you see the program is starting to work in just 4 days.

If you still opt for traditional lessons once a week that is fine, but your looking at about 3 to 4 years. $25 × 52weeks = $1,300 just for one year. This is for those of you who make decisions based on money. No judgement, I do all the time.

There is no short cut to learning to swim. It is muscle memory. That is why 4 days a week is the best and fastest way.

Within this last week I had received two responses:
#1 I'm so tired I just want to be done with this.
#2 Good job son I'm so poud of you.
●The thing in common with both these comments? Muscles!
●The thing that is different in these two comments? Memory!

My job is all about "muscle memory"!

The first comment was from a parent who has been taking their child to swim lessons for years once a week.
